Ceiling insulation opened up

Victorian Energy Upgrades extended ceiling insulation to all eligible Victorian homes. The discount takes about 30 to 50 per cent off the install: up to $1,500 on an average Melbourne home, and up to $2,100 in colder regional areas.

Gas hot water reaches the end of the line

A gas hot water system in an existing Victorian home usually can’t be replaced with gas when it fails. Rentals starting a new lease also need four star showerheads, cooling in the main living area, and R5.0 ceiling insulation where there is none.
